Great Days Out In Luton For You & Your Family Feature

Are you free this week in Luton? Do you need something to do? Well, this article will provide you with 9 fun places to visit and fun things to do with your friends and family. After all, who doesn’t love a good day out?

1) Stockwood Discovery Centre

This centre allows you to discover and learn the stories behind the collections and history of the Stockwood House and Farley Estate evolution. What’s more? From the 23rd September-26th November, you can view a selection of inspiring entries into the 2018 International Garden Photographer of the Year competition, displayed in an exhibition in the centre. Entrance is free and you can enjoy a lovely hot beverage and some food at the Garden Cafe, the centres very own food venue. 

2) Wardown House

What used to be the home of the Scargill family and a military hospital, is now a museum and gallery. Furthermore, you can visit the house that displays exhibitions about the wealthy family that formerly lived there in the Victorian times, as well as the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regiment Gallery and the Luton Life Gallery. For the rest of the year if you visit the museum you will be welcomed with numerous music performances (depending on the day) whilst walking around the exhibits, with September 16th being the first performance and 9th December being the last. 3) Woodside Animal and Leisure Park

Get up, close and personal with some of the park’s coolest animals! Ranging from farm animals to exotic species you and your family can seriously enjoy a fun day out here. You also have the opportunity to pet and feed some of them, as well as go on tractor rides, the mini fun fair and also play the crazy golf course! Whilst you are enjoying your day there are staff and tour guides to not only educate you on the species you will visit but ensure your safety also.

4) Orbital Trampoline Park

Orbital is no ordinary trampoline park - With a brand new approach to trampoline parks and sports, all in a 41,000 square foot warehouse, this venue is a great few hours for a family fun day out. With free WiFi, correct safety procedures and even a cafe for all of you parents, your children are guaranteed a hilariously great (and safe!) day. This venue is also great for children parties too!

5) Luton Town Football Club

Come to watch your local football team at Kenilworth Road Stadium - enjoy triumphs and disappointments as well as hot beverages and catering available in the great atmospheric location.

6) Wrest Park

Explore 92 acres of purely magnificent English garden, with three centuries worth of landscape design. These award-winning gardens are definitely on your ‘To-Do’ list if you enjoy peaceful strolls in treating parameters, stunning views and woodland walk. 

7) Delta Force Paintball 

Have a hardcore day out with your friends and family at one of England’s five-star paintball courses! For ages 10 and up, polish off those skills and have a crazy adventure, whether that is in the Dawn of the Dead game zone or the Sheriff’s Castle, there are many unique paintballing zones available to partake in at the Luton Paintballing Centre.

8) Barton Hills Nature Reserve

This is a particularly popular destination for walkers, families and wildlife lovers. With fantastic woodland views on the show, this countryside nature reserve is a great few hours, whether you are going on a dog walk or a picnic, the amazing scenery makes you forget where you are.

9) Team Sport

Located in Dunstable, which is just outside of Luton, Team Sport is a great family day out for your friends and family. Partake in the ultimate indoor karting experience in one of the UK’s number 1 indoor karting courses, perfect for celebratory purposes such as birthdays, stag/hen dos and more! There are also several racing events you can take part in.
